DescriptionThis one sort of snuck up on me... It had been up for sale on eBay for months, and I would check on it occasionally to see if it had been sold. Eventually, I realized I was checking on it every day, nervously holding my breath until I could try to zoom in on the item picture and delight in the insane level of detail in those beautiful pencils......The car, speedlines, and landscapes in panels 1 and 4; Volstagg's guffaw in panel 2; that AMAZING treasure room in panel 5 (which was also used in a panel on page 17 in issue #620); Ferry's unique take on Thor and the Coipel-like silhouettes (or does Coipel use a Ferry-like silhouette technique?) of Volstagg and Eric Solvang - "Space Doctor!" - in panel 6... A lovely DPS full of life and detail from Matt Fraction's and Pasqual Ferry's wonderful run on 'Thor'. Social/Sharing |

A really nice example of Ferry’s skills - close ups, figure work, perspective, storytelling! Sometimes when a piece keeps calling and calling to you...you just gotta give in :) You’re clearly happy with the decision! Congrats!
