Description

It�s a departure from Casey�s impressionistic, realistic painterly style. This textured painting features a surreal dreamlike composition as one starts to see the edges of a city bleeding into dusk. I love how thick the paint is in spots yet delicately applied in others. Casey continues to challenge himself by refining and evolving his boundaries as a painter. This is so great. Makes me think of many things. One of them is Gerhard Richter's realism period. But the addition of the trxtural element to shake the work loose of looking like a photo is great.
