Description

This one is the Conan rough page 1 "revised" version. Sandy wrote and did layouts for a 16 pages story titled "The Endless River of Blood" for an issue of Savage Sword of Conan (number 188). It was then pencilled and inked by Dave Cockrum. As one can see, his layouts are highly detailed and Cockrum seems to have used them as pencils.
Why a revised version of a rough? Well, years ago, I bought the entire 16 pages story from Sandy. He had to make some copies before sending me the originals but he accidentally forgot page 1 in the printer. When he came back, the page was lost... So, as he did not want to sell me an incomplete run, he offered to redo the page. As per usual, the new version is better than the initial one. Sandy is a real gentleman...!
