Description

Victoria Ying is an author and illustrator. In the last couple years, she illustrated her brother Johnathan's Not Quite Black and White and Lost and Found, What's That Sound?. Meow, released in October, is entirely her own work. She worked at Disney Feature Animation on Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and Big Hero 6. Victoria illustrated the Little Golden Books for Tangled and Big Hero 6. Tom and Tony Bancroft interviewed her on The Bancroft Brothers Animation Podcast: Designing a Disney Film, The Victoria Ying interview sponsored by my brother's Stuart Ng Books. She was one of the six artists featured in the Lovely: Girls of Animation Collaborative Art Book. For the inaugural LightBox Expo in Pasadena, California, Victoria decided to offer Grab Bags for Change as a charity fundraiser. She included prints, sketchbooks, minicomics, and enamel pins. Friends contributed, too. They decided to include some original drawings.. This character poses in a garden. Victoria had to cancel, but her friend Lily Williams sold the grab bags at her table.
