This is one of the best Wizard magazine covers. Thibert did great work illustrating the beautiful, strong, popular women of the biggest comic at the time, the X-Men. I fell in love with Jean's face on this cover immediately. Storm's stance and position within Thibert's overall composition here is perfectly dominant. Rogue's charming, Southern Belle character somehow comes through her facial expression. Psylocke is the sexy ninja that she was/is here. But Jubilee is probably my favorite here, showing her teenaged apathy and boredom and it is just so fun. Thibert NAILED this cover. I still have my old copy of this Wizard issue and will look on it fondly. And now I know where to come to see the original work to come and appreciate. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

I just listened to your Felix Comic Art podcast which was fantastic! This was the first Wizard I bought and read over and over, which was also my first intro to many comic characters. In fact this printed cover has the character names listed in the copyright small print and I'd try and guess who was Jubilee, Storm, etc. 

You were spot on to say, if you love it, chances are someone else does too. Great cover!

Loved this issue so much when it came out, glad to see the cover on this site. Huge congrats!  Art does such amazing work on the X-Men run, a great era and time in comics, represented so well with these amazing X-Women.
