Ah, Shaunte

This was a challenge I set for myself. I wanted to see how far I could take a subject with no micron inks, but just a loose pencil sketch and copic markers. Enter cosplayer/model Shaunte Neely. Originally I was going to sketch her as The Wasp, but when she posted this beautiful photo of her back, I thought why not give that a shot? In 2.5 hours, on 7x8" Canson paper, I had this beautifully-rendered vision before me in mechanical pencil and copics. Yes, she will be getting the original today. I'm proud that I could get something like this done in such a short amount of time. One of my best mixed media pieces so far.
