Description
Leonard Starr is perhaps the most under rated comic artist ever. Superb craftsman, gifted inker--look at his textures and reflected light in this piece. And to top it off, the man was probably the best comic strip writer of his period.

I agree that Starr is underrated. You could prove it by providing an even larger scan!! ;)

Starr is an all time favorite of mine. I'll be writing an introduction for one of the upcoming Mary Perkins books. Great page!
