Great piece! What issue was it slated to be?
Thanks! Unfortunately, this was the first piece I ever bought so I didn't think to ask the dealer for details beyond the fact that it was an unpublished cover. My best guess, going by the date on it and subject matter, is that it was meant for issue #11 of The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive. Can't really say definitively, though.
Oh, could be. Axel (the Trickster) wasn't in that story arc, but that could be why the cover was discarded, or perhaps the story as originally planned was changed. Very interesting, thanks for the response!
