DescriptionMark Gibbons produced some of the richest black and white interior work for GW back in the mid 90s. This piece is for Nagash, somewhat famous for the botched attempt to replicate the design in their miniature line.Measures about 12.5 by 17 inches. Despite being black and white this piece has more presence than most painted pieces I have seen. The artist managed to build depth in the painting by using different media with different degrees of gloss, elevating certain elements visually. The detail is truly phenomenal. Honestly, its hard to get excited about standard comic art when stuff like this is on the market for 1/10 of the price. Sorry for the glare, just back from the framers. If you have grown tired of any Warhammer art you currently own please hit me up. I am on a buying frenzy this year. Social/Sharing |
