Gadfly from "Marvel: The Lost Generation" by Kannoponta

Gadfly was a minor character from John Byrne's "Lost Generation" twelve issue series depicting the heroes of the Marvel Universe who emerged during the period when Captain America was frozen and before the likes of the Fantastic Four, Avengers, and X-Men emerged. Gadfly's real name is Truth MacRae, the daughter of 60s hippie heroes Cap'n Hip and Sunshine. Truth, or "Ruth" as she preferred, was enamored with the Batman-esque hero Black Fox much to the annoyance of her parents who considered him a fascist. Ruth rebelled against their holdover flower child lifestyle and was also shocked to learn she'd inherited superpowers from them. Ruth became Gadfly to try and get Black Fox's attention. The two were killed by the Skrulls in the first issue of "Lost Generation." Of course the series was released in reverse chronological order, so Ruth's development was viewed backwards.

She had a very Duela Dent feel towards her which is definitely why I developed an interest in her. It sucks she died before Byrne showed Ruth doing anything truly interesting as Gadfly.
