If Kirby’s imagination had limits, those limits escape me. Pure Kirby pencils are special, and while I know this sample of 1980s concept art is one of hundreds, maybe thousands, I love the effort and detail - the sheer number of different patterns - that Jack put into it. That might be a nice neighborhood, the “Undersea City.”

I also love that single notation with attendant arrows: “DOCKING PLATFORM.”

(Oh, and the sketch is an ample 14.5 x 16 inches in all its glory.)

Gorgeous pencils by the King himself. Even without any people, Jack Kirby knew how to keep a viewer's attention. This pencil of an underwater city is distinctly Kirby from the highly mechancial buildings to the Kirby Krackle in the background. Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
