Lilis Joanca and Clicky Goldjeff from "Dirty Pair" by Zara

This was really the only Valentine's related commission I set up this month since I didn't have that much to spend.

Joanca and Clicky are from an episode of the 1980s Dirty Pair anime. Joanca is an extremely important character in the last few decades as, despite only making one appearance, she's one of the few positive portrayals of a transgender individual in anime and manga. FROM 1985.

Joanca's thing is that she rescues her boyfriend Clicky from an arranged marriage his billionaire father Moon is forcing him into against his will. Moon contacts Kei and Yuri, tricking them into thinking Joanca kidnapped his son, to get Clicky back. Moon hates Joanca with a passion because she "Used to be a man," but the show explicitly states he's a bigot. Clicky knows Joanca's a transgender woman and didn't care, while Kei and Yuri are disgusted by Moon's thinking and remind him one in every ten people in their era have had their sex changed. Heck, even though Moon hates Joanca he STILL acknowledges she's a woman and uses the right pronouns.

The episode ends with Joanca getting stuck in a rocket that'll take her fifty years in the future, with Kei and Yuri helping Clicky get onto another rocket to follow after her.
