Description

This group of boy scouts is from a cartoon called the BOOKWORM.

Three witches need a worm to complete their potion; they dispatch a raven to catch one, and he goes after a bookworm.

It is quite rare, as I was unable to find any other cells through a cursory web search. If you find some, please let me know.

This original drawing has never been available to the public. It has been in our family for about 80 years. We are asking $395.

I am currently selling all of the original comic art in this Gallery. Our family acquired this and other pieces from my father’s cousin, Cecil Surry. Cecil Surry worked as an animator for Disney (1928 to 1931) when the Mickey Mouse character was being created. He continued to work as an animation artist for other leading animation studios until the 1950s.
