Joe Weems Penciled and Inked Planet of the Apes cover!

This one is a special one for me. 15 years ago when I first met Joe and his roommates I would hang out there and occasionally assist on pages or work on my own stuff and hang out. I had been aware of this cover and always thought it was awesome because you have an Inker who is also drawing awesome stuff! Im a huge fan of inkers and most of them can draw too but the successful inkers end up doing to much less as their inking careers stay busy. One visit with John and Joe I was telling Joe how much I had admired that cover and how much of a planet of the apes fan I was. He said I'll be right back and he went up stairs and brought this cover down. I was amazed and in that second I knew this would be my ultimate Joe piece. 15 years later we made a deal and I couldn't be happier. Im glad to finally have posted my Planet of the Apes collection after all this time. Enjoy!
