Description
Sgrizzo Papero (Kildare Coot) was introduced by Italian Disney master Romano Scarpa as a highly eccentric (read totally nuts) fourth cousin of Donald Duck in the story "Sgrizzo, il più balzano papero del mondo" (roughly translated as "Kildare, the weirdest duck in the world"), first published in Topolino #465 (October 25, 1964).
Though his exact relationship to Donald remains uncertain, his last name suggests he belongs to the Coot Kin and that he's related to Donald through Elvira Coot, Donald's paternal grandmother.
This very fun and masterfully inked image has been drawn by Freccero to illustrate the cover/frontispiece of a quite recent Finnish edition by Egmont (see additional images).

Sgrizzo is a weird character, probably too extreme to be a recurring character in the duck stories... fantastic piece by Freccero!
