That top panel is epic!
Yes it is! I am drawn (no pun intended) to large art. Fortunately, most half splashes provide this for me and without the enormous price that full splash pages command.
Thanks for the comment!
Nice page throughout highlighted by that top panel. Nice inks, love the rain effect, and I'm a big fan of sound effect lettering being drawn right on the page - "BROORM!" Congrats!
Thanks, K! I personally love villains (particularly B, C and D-List ones) and large panels that allow for more action or more characters which this page amply provides.
I appreciate the time for leaving a comment!
This is such a cool page! I remember the issue, and I loved the Thor stories when the other pantheons of gods were involved. Congrats on a score!
Thanks, J! Yeah, this issue has a lot of great battle scenes involving Demiurge. I hope to grab one with all the Death gods!
impressionnant page action !!
Merci! I agree! This is a great battle page!
Such a great issue, annuals used to be a mixed bag of great, silly, or terrible given their standalone nature, but this is one of the good ones that came out in the eartly 80s.
Yes, Sean! I definitely agree. This was a great story for an annual with a lot of great art pages. I hope to one day to add a page with all the death gods depicted in this book.
Mindblowing page from the 1982 Thor Annual #10 by Bob Hall and Al Gordon! The top splash panel is the money shot with Thor, Apollo and other dieties battling the massive demigod Quetzalcoatl! The demigod is so huge he dwarfs Thor and the others. One of the dieties, Shango, manages to wound him and Thor encourages Apollo and the others to topple him. Terrific action-packed page penciled by Bob Hall with thick, lush inks from Al Gordon. Fantastic Thor page with jawdropping action! Great pick-up, congrats!
I appreciate the comment! Only one small correction though: the deities are battling Demogorge and not Quetzalcoatl. Q is the one getting eaten by Demogorge on this page.
One hell of an action page! Love this!
Thanks! I just hope I don't let it go to my head and get too Cox-y with it!
