DescriptionFrom the lonely death of Jack Monroe. This is Monroe’s last full page as he is killed by the Winter Soldier on the next page we see him.I can't say I'm a huge fan of what Brubaker did in regards to Nomad. I truly feel like he as a writer tossed away years of story and character development for a personal ambition to tell the story he wanted to tell - but I'll also say I respect Ed's gifts, as well as his contribution to Cap. I just think Jack and Nomad deserved better than what felt to me like, honestly, a bit of a rip-off job. The great thing about comics though is "you never know" - and in all fairness, Jack Monroe's send off was better than a lot of characters seem to get. And John Paul's art was great in this issue, so dark and forboding. Social/Sharing |
