Description

Splendida splash page di Georges Pichard per "Carmen", storia pubblicata nel 1981 per l'editore francese Le Square - Albin Michel e successivamente anche in Italia sulla rivista 1984 (poi 2984).

La storia, ambientata nella Spagna del 1830, si ispira all'omonima novella scritta nel 1845 da Prosper M�rim�e (Parigi, 28 settembre 1803 � Cannes, 23 settembre 1870) dalla quale fu tratta la celebre opera lirica "Carmen" (1875) del compositore Georges Bizet (Parigi, 25 ottobre 1838 � Bougival, 3 giugno 1875).

Bella splash page, Pichard è uno di quelli dal tratto riconoscibile, cosa che solo i grandi maestri hanno.

Concordo Ciro, a mio avviso Pichard è sicuramente da annoverare tra i maestri del fumetto.
