This is the VERY first time that Gil Kane and John Romita ever worked together on a comic book, and what an "AMAZING 2 issue story line we had with the VERY first time a major character DIES in the "AMAZING SPIDER-MAN" title! This 3 panel page with Spidey battling and finally defeated by far his #1 greatest Super villain he has battled more than ANY OTHER.......Does it get much better than these 3 HUGE panels, with this battle sequence believed to have been the inspiration for the very battle scene to the Spider-Man #2 movie train battle, where Spider-Man saves the people below as he exerts all his strength to lift a giant water tower about to fall on them, and the exhausted Spider-Man is then easily defeated by Doc Ock! ********That top large spread is a clear homage to Steve Ditko's AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #12 COVER!*******
