Description

6x13.25" artboard has pen and ink original art for unpublished 1940s comic story featuring Justice Society of America member The Atom. Partial page from unpublished story features three panels showing The Atom in fistfight w/multiple men (w/a subtle nod to the character's diminutive height). Illustrated by Golden Age DC Comics artist Joe Gallagher, who worked on "World's Finest Comics, Comic Cavalcade, Sensation Comics" and "All-American Comics," a title in which The Atom had his adventures published. The Atom appears in all three panels. Artboard remains clean and art displays Exc. It appears likely that both are among the partial-page Golden Age original art that were saved from oblivion by fellow DC interns during the 1970s. Dan Makara Collection.
