Pair of artboards (5.75x14.25" and 5-7/8x14.25") have pen and ink original art for unpublished 1940s "All Star Comics" comic story featuring the Golden Age Green Lantern. Two partial pages from unpublished story have been taped together on back and each features two panels, showing Green Lantern's alter ego Alan Scott and sidekick Doiby Dickles outside Scott's radio station office, watching as the villain Dr. Cypher walks away. Once Dr. Cypher is out of sight, Alan and Doiby rush to Alan's closet, where he removes his Green Lantern costume. Illustrated by Paul Reinman (1910-1988), an American comic book artist best known as one of Jack Kirby's frequent inkers during the Silver Age. Alan Scott and Doiby appear in every panel, Scott's Green Lantern costume appears in both panels of second partial page. Artboards remain clean and Exc. nice consecutive pair. It appears likely that both are among the partial-page Golden Age original art that were saved from oblivion by fellow DC interns during the 1970s. Dan Makara Collection.
