Description

A flashback to the first on-panel encounter between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow from the classic silent issue (GI Joe #21)! I can’t own an original page from issue #21, so this is without a doubt the next best thing. Lots of pages of SE and SS fighting out there and I think this has to be one of my favorites - nothing gets in the way of their grudge match, except an unfortunate Red Ninja...

This page depicts the first three panels from the original Marvel page - take a look at the additional images. I like a lot of the details Diaz added, especially the castle background and dynamic character poses. GI Joe #248 is also an all-silent issue, full of fantastic action & art - if you haven't read it, do yourself a favor and track it down!

Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow was one of the best parts of GI Joe. Great page!
