DescriptionMy wife & I are very proud of our son. On this piece he took several hours a day for a week making this epic dragon battle scene. He did it all by himself. He laid out the scene as he wanted it, how he envisioned it in his head. He penciled it all by hand, then inked the lines & then finally colored it. He had a second piece of paper he used to "color check" the inks to make sure they were the right color for what he wanted on this piece. He even drew the volcano on that piece of paper & colored it completely so he would see the finished result. He liked how it came out on the sketch pad so he used the same colors on this finished piece. He is gifted... & quite meticulous!Social/Sharing |

At the end of the day, it's always your kids that make the best art!

If only I had a Ditko Spidey page to trade you for it. I love that he actually took the time to draw all those flying embers! Most impressive!

It's wonderful to hear about your son's highly methodical process, especially when the end result is so beautiful. I love all those colorful dragons and their different expressions. Will he accept commissions? :)

Meteors AND a volcano...Those battling dragons have a lot to contend with! Your son is very talented, and I love the art. The bottom left dragon is especially well done. Nice work!

This is so reminiscent of the type of drawings I did as a kid as well. Love this - thanks for sharing!
