-SENSATIONAL- page, Kit! Yup - you're right; there are any number of ways to stage and illustrate a battle, right? You could go the shouting, loud, splashy death ray route (which I love, make no mistake), or you could go the route Jim chooses here, which spotlights the emotional weight that lies at the heart of the conflict by pushing in closer to our heroines and letting their personal struggle stand in for the larger ideologies they represent. A far greater narrative impact, far harder to pull off, but a lift of this nature is right in the wheelhouse of the amazing Jim Cheung. Incredible (just as you say)! And what a great opportunity to see Jim's finished pencils - wow! Super page, Kit! Congrats!
