Spider-Man (Black Suit) by Rick Leonardi

My first stop at Comic Con Paris in October 2019 was Spider-Man 2099-legend Rick Leonardi, who has also worked on Spidey's original Black Suit saga in the 80s. While I almost went with a Spidey 2099, the black costume still won.

I signed up for a commission as the second in his queue & asked for a full figure with background. In the end, some of my friends who also got something without background, got the same amount of inks used, or more. But the piece has definitely grown on me ever since. Considering the total price, I can't complain at all.

Love how Spidey is clearly set in New York City, on a typical water tower - with a building similar to the Flatiron Building in the background. And yes, I know there's too many legs on the Spider-Man logo. Size is 9x12.
