Description
I am a fan of the NOW Green Hornet series especially when they brought in Mishi Kato. Too bad her character didn't last, powers that be didn't like Kato as a woman. Jeff drew alot of the series and a number of spin-off series. I had been wanting a commission from Jeff, contacted a couple of years ago but he didn't have the time. Fast forward to a month ago and he contacts me and says he has time for my commission.
This is an idea I have been toying.
Brit Reed and Ikano Kato ((original GH and Kato from the 40s) on one side with Paul Reed and Mishi Kato (current NOW GH and Kato) on the other side. Plus a female Green Hornet Jeff had done for a commission, just liked the idea, a bit cheesecake.
Jeff added the framed on the wall in the center are Brit Reed II and Hayashi Kato (60s TV show) photos. Plus framed photo of the Lone Ranger and the half photo on the right is Fran Skriker who created both Lone Ranger and Green Hornet. Plus a couple of Green Hornets on the wall. Not part of my original request, great bonuses.
The Green Hornet logo is similar to the late 40s Harvey comics with the Green Hornet pose taken directly from it. All lettering and trade dress hand done. Jeff blew me away with this commission. He was fast and some of the BEST packaging when he shipped the art. I also had him do a Mishi Kato iPod piece. Size 17x22 on heavyweight illustration board.
