DescriptionOne random day, many random days ago, I was fortunate enough to run into Daniel Warren Johnson at a comic book store. This...was not by chance, but a well scheduled signing planned weeks ahead of time run by a not so local to me comic shop. I lined up well ahead of time, with many others...who also lined up and got a chance to get some books signed. Thing is, when it comes to comic book creators...they can only talk so much about their projects. I know this...they are constantly asked and have to edit themselves, cuz it's part of their job, and as fans we all really have to understand this part. So I never talk too much about comics with creators and with DWJ I talked baseball! So as he offered to do a sketch for me he gave me his phone and said read this...it's the first issue of my new comic "Murder Falcon". I'm like ... what?!? And I was blown away. First off the title...I was like what?!? Second off the story...I was like WHAT!?! I finish and first thing I say is..."this is awesome...but what's the villains name"?!? Ya see, DWJ lettered the comic also...so his scans were all scripted, but he left this blank were the villain's name should be on page 16. He says...oh, I'm thinking it's going to be Magnum Chaos...but with a "K" instead of a "C"! And I'm all like...losing my shit laughing!!!! We start talking about names...but listen...serious talk now, we peeps can't talk this kinda shop talk with creators. They are professionals in their jobs and legally they can't. So I have my laughs and roll it back to the sketch and my love of all things DWJ and I loved every minute I spend with that beautiful human being. He is as nice, kind and soft spoken...and took the time to do sketches for anyone who ask...and let me read his comic and laugh at his villain name and I'll always remember that day...and this page bring out that giggle in me...and I LOVE IT.Went through and found the sketch DWJ did while I sat back and read his comic.
