Yep, this page is a winner for sure! I loved this storyline so much as a kid and remember this issue very well. I always loved the warmth of Colossus and Kitty's smiles on this page. Alan Davis is a master of expressions and storytelling. Huge congrats on picking up this page!
Vintage Davis goodness.
(I dare you to count the words on the page though, Claremont was good but had a tendency to slightly overwrite ^^)
Davis has that unique ability to bring out the tenderness of characters that is sometimes lost by other artists. Great X page.
Congratulations
The bottom 3 panels, classic Claremont. Amazing page.
A great pick-up! I'd love to have a sweet Marauders page from the Mutant Massacre storyline!
Great page by an amazing artist from a peak period in the XM mythos
X-Men with all cylinders running... deep in pathos.
Excellent pièce - Excellent choice - congratulations !!
I absolutely love this page! I had a chance to pick it up a couple years ago from the bothers D but passed on it becuase of there usual shenanigans... Really happy to see it wind up in a fans collection! Congrats!
I remember being devastated by this page when I was a kid - would Kitty, Peter and Kurt recover? I was young enough to be very worried about my favorite heroes. Congrats on obtaining such an incredibly memorable page!
Fabulous X-Men page! I love Alan Davis' work and he is in top form here! Congrats!
Love this page and love the time period! Thanks for sharing!
Davis/Claremont are obviously a treasure, and neat to compare Nightcrawler, Kitty & Lockheed to how they'd be drawn in Excalibur.
