DescriptionThis is a sketch from Alan Jim Hanley that he gave to a fan. Hanley woul;d frequently gift customers buying his Comic Book fanzine with a free-sketch. A free-lance caricaturist by day, Hanley could churn out an interesting sketch in record time. Hanley was a key pioneer of the small press, creating some of the first independently produced comic books. In 1966, he self-published Comic Book #1, and 6 more issues were produced of this fanzine through 1976. Social/Sharing |
