From time to time I like to add some master illustrators piece to my collection.
In fact they often were involved in early comics publications and/or have been a great source of inspiration for the comic artists from back then.

Painter, illustrator, graphic and advertising designer, decorator, Aleardo Terzi (1870-1943) was one of the most representative artists of the Art Nouveau or Liberty genre in Italy. Please take a look at the additional images for some beautiful examples of his work.

This simple but exquisite drawing dates back from the '30s and was arguably part of a mythological themed illustrated book.

Faccio spesso il pensiero di aggiungere alla collezione alcuni di questi grandi illustratori del 900 italiano come Golia, G.Toppi, Yambo, Angolletta e altri. Mi hai fatto venire voglia!

Exquisite Indeed! I love it when the borders are blurred berween comics and illustration... The link to Roy Krenkel seems quite obvious to me.

What an exquisite drawing! Love this artist's unique calligraphy and delicate linework. I really enjoy the romantic feel of great illustrations, such as this one, from this period.
