Doctor Who - Valley of Angels

Much as how Number 10 used the remnants of his regeneration cycle to regrow a hand, I used the Whovian vibe I've been riding these past few weeks to complete a long overdue commission. Etched on 9 x 12, The Tenth Doctor has fallen into a valley occupied by one of the scariest monsters in Modern Who continuity: The Weeping Angels. For those that don't know, "the lonely assassins" have a defense mechanism known as quantum lock; they are literal stone when they are being looked at, but as soon as you turn your back...they can move and either snap your neck or, upon physical contact, send you back in time to live out your life in the past while they feed on the temporal energy you would've spent living in the present. I totally recommend the episode "Blink." Initially for this sketch, I settled on a handful of angels. But why not increase the threat level, I thought? That rationale also compelled me to through in an Angel's hand as to give the Doctor something to be staring at. I know you're thinking to yourself "If these things can move, then why is The Doctor not looking over his shoulder?" That's easy... You're doing it for him. Anyway, the need for strength in numbers gave me the opportunity to flex my creative muscles a bit to use the simplistic of tools to create additional Angels on the horizon. I'm proud of everything I've accomplished on this piece, especially the Doctor himself and the Tardis. I'm available to any Whovian out there who'd like work such as this. Allon-SY!
