I love both the sentiment and ink on this beauty!
I've watched the documentary a couple of times now and really enjoyed it. This piece is as wonderful a tribute to Questlove as his film was to soul music.
I don't think there's anything that can upstage the accolades this piece is going to receive. The emotions shown on the Oscar stage is like the passion shown in this work.
Questlove is an amazing person not just because of his musical talent but because of his knowledge of music. He's a true scholar, and I've found every interview I've read or heard with him to be worthwhile. This piece and its subject matter are simply stupendous.

Definitely one I'm sure you've pored over lots. So much great imagery throughout, and rendered with all of those hatch-y lines. Love how you can clearly tell it's Questlove, but it's still got that cartoony look. Big congrats, George!
