Description

An exhibition of Simone's art - 'Amazing Talent' - just finished at Palazzo Vitelli a Sant'Egidio, in Città di Castello in Italy. Sadly, travel restrictions meant I could not go to the exhibit. However I was able to acquire of the signature paintings created for the show, Wolverine as a tribute to Arnaldo Pomodoro, a contemporary Italian sculptor (now in his 90's) whose own signature pieces generally consist of fractured spheres, or spheres within spheres - I've seen a few of these myself, luckily - there is one at the Vatican that I saw a couple of years back; one in Tel Aviv that I saw last year; and I am pretty sure the sphere that used to sit near the Twin Towers was one of his as well. Anyways, I love this painting!! Thank you my friends.

Love how the spheres are an homage to a legendary sculptor but can also be interpreted as hurled chunks of metal by an unseen Magneto! It all works as if meant to be! Congrats!
