Description

Comic artist and illustrator, Enrico Pinochi was born near Lucca (Italy) in 1900.
He studied art in Rome with Giulio Aristide Sartorio, one of the greatest exponents of Liberty style in Italy, and it clearly shows from this small but exquisite drawing (circa 1930).
Since the late '10s of the last century he illustrated a large amount of magazines, novels, children books and educational books. Then, in 1938, he was hired as the art director for the comic section by famous Mondadori publishing, which was the Italian Disney licensee, and so he drew some Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck stories.
During WWII he emigrated in Argentina, where he died in 1965.

I must admit I'm more and more fascinated by these illustrators of the first half of the 20th century.

This is a gorgeous illustration. I always liked that Grimm Fairy Tale, and this is very cool. Congrats!
