8x10" thin artboard mounted to larger 11x14" artboard features mixed media original art of The Vault-Keeper from EC Comics The Vault Of Horror comic book title. Art by popular EC artist Johnny Craig (1926-2001) depicts The Vault-Keeper opening the door to a darkened room, lit candle in hand. Larger artboard has some corner tip wear but art itself remains clean and Exc. and would make for wonderful framed display. Art was commissioned by Camp Hill, PA comic fan and comes w/typed letter dated Aug. 17, 1975 from Craig, apologizing for the length of time commission took and serving as an "Informal Bill" regarding the balance owed by said fan. Craig has signed letter in black ink. Letter shows some scattered margin wear and aging. Fine. Amazing example of art depicting one of EC's three horror hosts from one of EC's most beloved artists.
