Description
This is an artist I never expected to add to my collection.

Certainly not because I don't love Adam's work, but because it's always been far out of my price range (and that's even including head sketches!).

So when Adam announced that he and Jason (from Essential Sequential) were planning to let go of a range of pages that weren't selling, all for only $100 a page, I was all over it!

Adam and his brother were The X-Men artist of my youth (the translated Danish versions were a couple of years behind). The issues drawn by them were always extra cool and gorgeous. But even more than that, I began getting into untranslated American comics right around the time the Ultimate universe started, so I also loved his work on Ultimate X-Men and Fantastic Four.

But even more importantly, I've loved his work since he returned to Marvel. His run on Avengers, Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine, Spectacular Spider-Man, Origin II and I could go on and on. It's all great superhero art.

This wasn't my first choice of page. But only because there were some Amazing pages being offered for a ridiculously low price. I'm Very happy with getting this page, both because I like Adam's art so much, but also because this is just a dynamite page!

Getting a Kubert page with soldiers walking through a snowy forest is amazing (even if it's Adam and not Joe Kubert ;-). It's a semi-splash, with the gorgeous rendition of the forest filling the entire page, aside from the six insert panels. These panels are then filled with great acting and storytelling (and some top notch inking by Adam too!). It's all so damn good!
(And as an added bonus, the fellow in panel 7 is telling Soldier Supreme and Dum Dum Fury that Hitler is dead! Something that's ALWAYS worth celebrating!)
