DescriptionThe concluding page, leading to the climactic battle with the Sons of the Serpent in the next issue. I count myself very lucky to have found this page years ago, as it has great personal meaning. It's not a splash page or dynamic group shot, but Wendy says it taught her a powerful lesson: You don't have to show everything to know what's going on. In panel 3, all you see are Hawkeye's fingertips, the bottom of the phone handset, and a hint of Goliath's belt, yet there's no question what's going on.Social/Sharing |

This is a great page, Avengers 26 was my first omic book ( actively searching for a page ) but this whole era was so rich in powerful storytelling coupled with great art

This storyline is echoing all the way to the present day...even a non-action page is gripping....

Great Page, Richard! I love early Don. Do you have a high-rez version???

I'm an archivist at heart, so routinely make hi-res scans of all of Wendy's original art. Same goes for whatever I've acquired over the years.

Cool. How does one procure a nice High-Rez of this, sir?

Beautiful page. When Don Heck was on top of his game, he was always very good. I think these early Avengers are tremendously underrated.
