Description

The moment I made a conscious decision to collect OA, I began seeking out this cover. Gwenpool is such a crazy character and has continued to evolve over the years. This variant cover was used as a retailer incentive variant for Howard the Duck 1 as well as the second print sketch variant, with this issue being Gwenpool�s first full appearance.

Her initial cover on Deadpool�s Secret Secret Wars started as a joke, but Marvel quickly realized they had something when she showed up at conventions everywhere, being a favorite of cosplayers. They decided to give the character a true launch in Howard the Duck which was followed by several of her own series.

Getting a cover from Ron Lim was also a dream come true. Ron was a childhood idol of mine as I grew up reading Silver Surfer and the Infinity Gauntlet series. You will not find a more gracious and humble artist than Ron Lim, and I am so grateful to own this piece.

2 big birds with this pick up, man - congrats! Worthy add to the the first appearance collection by one of our favorite artists, being youngsters of the '90s, in Ron Lim. Super nice guy, as you say, and LOTS of energy :)
