DescriptionThe Spirit by Will Eisner was one of the earliest influences in my appreciation of graphic storytelling. Fifty years later, Chris Samnee's work has a similar sense of joy as in this homage to the "The Outer Space Spirit" stories by Eisner, Wally Wood and Jules Feiffer.Ink on 9" x 12" Bristol with a preliminary pencil sketch on the reverse of the space-suited Spirit. Signed by Samnee and inscribed "HEY NICHOLAS!" Social/Sharing |
