DescriptionI picked two covers from Bryan Hitch's Batman's Grave run. And this is very special, not a heroic splash cover. Batman is defeated and lies in a puddle, the cape is spread out behind him. And when I take a closer look at the cover, I see hundreds of raindrops. The work is soooo detailed. I really like how the skyscrapers and the batsignal are reflected in the puddle.Social/Sharing |

All 12 covers a really great and I was the first buyer and had the free choice. About the colored version, I really like the #8 most, but with the black & white art, this is also my favorite. #4 is also a top cover, but it os nearly the same like my sole splash.

Very impressive details on this cover, such a high degree of difficulty executing the raindrops, building reflection and Batman himself...and looks so much better in blackand white!

I totally agree. The black and white version is soooo much better then the purple colored version.

Batman? CHECK.
Batman in the rain? CHECK.
Batman in the rain drawn by Bryan Hitch? CHECKMATE.
The detail on this is truly phenomenal. And I imagine it looks even better in person. Nevertheless, thank you for sharing this here on CAF with us.

Powerful cover! Batman may look defeated...but we know he'll rise up to kick butt again!

Oh yes, he rised up. The perfect example is the cover of issue #8. I will frame both covers and put them next to each other on the wall.

This is a truly amazing and very beautiful cover. I love how the buildings and bat signal are reflected in the rain. And yeah, all those rain drops are mesmerizing. Brilliant find!
