Description

As a teenager, Bernie Wrightson's illustrations in the Frankenstein novel drew me into reading the book, and both his and Mary Shelley's mastery blew my mind and made me a life-long fan of "The Monster".

Apart from the somewhat offputting large nipple bolts, this is one of Mignola's adopted characters that I'd love to see more of. This page is from issue 2 of 5, which turned out to be the last issue as it was co-written with Scott Allie... and both Mignola and Dark Horse broke ties with him in 2020 when new allegations of sexual misconduct against him arose.

On this page, the monster awakens to find his new friend Arobas long dead.
