DescriptionSome beautiful drawings of Matt Murdock that were the bedrock of a central conversation between Matt and Foggy in Daredevil #43 (and one of the main themes in the Maleev / Bendis run: how Matt can move forward while his support network is, narratively speaking, slowly eroded away). Brilliant stuff.Doing the art in the manner Alex did on Daredevil - drawing the characters on 8.5 x 11 vellum and scanning those images into his computer to finish the pages digitally - allows for a fun sort of ‘Where’s Waldo’ exercise, where you try to locate where he used all the drawings in the issue. Indeed, I maxed out my allotment of ‘Additional Images’ this time around! Principally used on the two main pages of Foggy and Matt's conversation, a couple shots were also used again on pages 9, 12, 14, and 16. These studies (and any others containing the figure drawings of other characters on the page) are the only “paper drawings” that exist for these pages. Once again, Alex, thank you very, very much. The fun that must add to your comic book reading! Where's Murdock? Whoop, that's the wrong one, different colored glasses. :) (I loved Where's Waldo, too). This style of drawing is so interesting to me. It's great art, but it's also really technical. As I mentioned before, it gives me great insight into other artists, too. Process is so sexy! Heh. Great snag, Jason. Big congrats!

You can completely picture the published Matt images when seeing this. It's all there. I know you were stoked to get these, Jason - big congrats!

Great renderings! Wish he did full pages in pencil, his style really stands out

Neat! I really like how these were put together, altho I'm glad not all comic art is that way.
