March is Todd McFarlane month here at Shemp's Gallery. We will be celebrating Todd McFarlane's 60th birthday all month. One new piece of McFarlane art every Sunday for the month of March.

Todd McFarlane needs no introduction, best known for his work as the artist on The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man series and as the writer/artist/creator of the Image series Spawn. Before all that, Todd Mcfarlane worked on a little book called Infinity Inc for DC Comics. In it he drew the sons and daughters of the JSA and often the JSA themselves. His page layouts were creative, often containing pin ups of characters with the panel pages. For two years (1985-1987) McFarlane was the artist on the book.

Infinity Inc is my favorite book of all time. It was the book that started it all. It introduced me into the world of superheroes. From Ordway to McFarlane to Argondezzi to Bair, I loved it all. MacFarlane's art was great, he looked like he was having fun with it.
