DescriptionIt's Todd McFarlane month here at Shemp's Gallery, where we are be celebrating Todd McFarlane's 60th birthday all month. One new piece of McFarlane art every Sunday for the month of March.Today, March 16th is Todd Mcfarlane's birthday! Happy Birthday Todd! Bonus piece! I've decided to post an additional piece today, Todd's birthday. This is a true rarity, uninked finished pencils by a young Todd McFarlane. This is from DC's Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #10 featuring HELIX. These pencils were done within the first 6 months of Todd's taking over the regular pencilling duties of Infinity Inc. Finished pencils to a published piece on characters Mcfarlane created. Wow! Super Bonus piece!! Since I also own them, I've included the published inks by Greg Theakston. Light boxed and inked on a vellum sheet by inker Greg Theakston. Very cool piece! Nice to be able to see what Todd's pencils looked like that early in his career.
