Notes from Steven Thomas, creator of this comic:

The first part of this book that I have been posting is an expression of self. I don’t love to explain my art, nor is it easy for me to be open, but I wanted to try to contextualize the work because the feelings are messy, and complicated.
These two characters are really just a way to represent some ugly feelings of self hatred, body dysmorphia, vulnerability, and other mental health issues. 2020 was the first year I was in a position, and was willing to see a therapist. Physical health problems, a severe lack of sleep, and my personal life coming to a tumultuous point forced me to address some feelings about myself, and the world I’ve been harboring for most of my life. I don’t go to any lengths to explain the source of these feelings. I didn’t want to soften them by making them relatable(though, I’m sure many people can relate) ....I was only trying to express the actual feelings through the medium of comics.
I attempted to make this beautiful, but there are some ugly feelings represented throughout.

First edition of the comic was signed & numbered of 200 copies and sold out immediately and went into second printing.
