Description

This piece was commissioned just around the time Covid-19 was becoming an issue in the US funnily enough but Ms. Ramona Fradon and her rep Scott Kress of Catskill Comics both did a great job in the commission process.

I knew I wanted to eventually get a piece from Ms. Fradon directly and when I realized I had a ton of credit card cashback money earned I knew to jump on the chance for a piece and got Icemaiden in her classic parka esque outfit that Ms. Fradon worked on when Icemaiden was created for Super Friends #9 and the later modern design Icemaiden wore when she returned to join the Justice League International in the 90's.

Needless to say I was as happy as a kid in the candy store, I expected the pandemic to delay the piece but despite ordering it March 2020 I received it April 2020! Talk about quick! I'll definitely cherish this piece.

In her 1st appearance her power wasnt projection but to become as ice itself....interesting.

I loved that we got Princess Tora too...a meta versus magi but both from Norway...super cool .

As in Icemaiden's first appearance? Her first appearance didn't tell us much about her powers just that she could manipulate heat in her body at the least and give off no heat whatsoever.

And yep, it's funny seeing an accident accidentally create Tora as well.
