The New 52 Lobo kills the Main Man, i.e. the "Pretender."

In the sequence of events that play out in the first three pages of this new series, the rebooted Lobo of DC's New 52 Universe beheads our favorite Bastich and then zaps him "with enough weaponized giga-kelvins to ensure not even a native-born Czarnian can 'gen from it."

Yeah... I'm totally calling BS. But, it is a cool page and the first time that I can remember that Lobo was "killed" and stayed "dead" for 2 years (until DC rebooted again with Rebirth and the Justice League of America).

It’s also interesting to note the slight differences in Brown’s pencil & inked page (panels 1-3) versus the published page... Reilly included the spinal column, lungs, etc in his piece that didn’t make the cut in the final publication...
