Description" ...And this is the Shaggy Man! I wasn't in on that one-- But the rest of the gang told me all about it! They battled him down in... Waitaminnit! Something's very wrong here--! --We never had a statue of the Shaggy Man!"Been eyeing this cover for a while from Bechara and glad I finally pulled the trigger. Synopsis for "The Shaggy Man Will Get You if You Don't Watch Out!" Searching for a means by which to eliminate Green Lantern, his arch-foe Hector Hammond hits upon a scheme to reactivate the Shaggy Man and teleport him into the Justice League satellite. As the JLA members are engaged in clean-up activities around their headquarters, they encounter the invulnerable android in a series of surprise attacks. As Aquaman, Black Canary, Batman, Atom, Green Arrow, Hawkman, and Flash fall in defeat, the satellite's orbit begins to decay. Superman battles the creature to a draw, while Green Lantern saves the satellite and his fellow members. After an massive attack fails to fall Shaggy Man, Green Lantern uses his power ring to shrink the creature to a harmless size. Social/Sharing |

I think Shaggy Man is the perfect description for me emerging from quarantine. Lol! Cardy is always top notch and this cover is great! I love Hawkman up top going for his head. Huge congrats!

Awesome JSA cover and thankfully this Shaggy is more fearsome than the Scooby-Doo counterpart! Congrats Nick, great get pulling the trigger on this one!

While this post is not meant to disparage your acquisiton, this is one of those DC covers that screams 'Make Mine Marvel'. When I came across this issue back in the late 1970s for a comic book trade opportunity, I screamed no way. These types of villains were not in my wheel house, and I laughed off the trade. What is funny is that I remembered this cover. However, fast forward to the 2020s, and I have a better appreciation for both Nick Cardy and for the art that he created back in the 1960s and 1970s. Congrats on breaking this out of the Bechara museum.
