Description
This page belongs to The X-Men Claremont´s run collection

Bill Sienkiewicz is one of the most important authors of the 80's. His contribution to the Mutant Universe will be remembered above all for his contribution to the New Mutants series, but before that, he draw only two select and memorable issues with Claremont's scripts for Uncanny X-Men. The mutants' run against Count Dracula himself will always be remembered for issues #159 and #Annual 6. They are very scarce pages and very difficult to find.

On this page we find Ororo's reconversion back into the X-Men leader. Great page with Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops and Nightcrawler.

Publication date: July, 1982

That double take costume change by Storm should have given them a clue.  Sienkiewicz X-Men team is rare and crazy good.  The great energy and atmosphere in this issue made it one of the highlights in my comic collection back in the day.

Gorgeous page to Uncanny X-men Annual #6 by the legendary Bill Sienkiewicz. Bill didn't do many X-Men issues, he was far more involved drawing The New Mutants, but he did do this Annual and it clearly shows his influence. I love the way he drew Ororo here--The changeover from Ororo to Storm that he drew from the second to the third panel is quite striking! Alsoi, the rainy exterior of the castle in panel five is also very Sienkiewicz in appearance. As is the sixth panel in which Cyclops bores a hole in the castle floor to fashion a new exit free of Booby Traps. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty classic X-Men page with a few Sienkiewicz touches added. Great pick-up, congrats!
