Description

Adding this historic character piece from a really amazing issue (Uncanny X-Men #19, 2012) all about the original X-Man, Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops.

Written by the X-tremly talented Kieron Gillen and drawn by the amazing Dale Eaglesham. This beautiful piece of art captures a huge moment in the AVX saga and end result of the power corruption of Cyclops. Hope and Wanda team up to de-power him and return the Phoenix force power to reignite mutants being born, finally giving an end to the �No More Mutants�. Finishing the AVX saga and closing the loop for what Hope was meant to fulfill for all mutant-kind. Cyclops being a very polarized character for me, in this piece is now at the edge of turning hero to villain. The once golden boy and leader for the X-Men has made choices that lead him down a dark path and this page is a turning point for him.

It�s a great capture for both storytelling and getting an official piece of the Phoenix force art. I really enjoyed this chapter in X-Men history and like seeing this other richer side to Cyclops. This particular book (#19) is a fantastic read and it�s nice to have a beautiful piece from it.

Yup, agree as far as the storytelling. Really like that panel 2 to 3 transition. And Eaglesham's pencils are so CLEAN! Congrats!

Oh man, this is one of my favourite X-Men issues ever. The "and what remains of me thinks: Lucifer was an angel too" line from this issue lives in my head rent-free haha. Awesome that you have a page from this one, excellent choice!
